Description
The Advantech ADAM-4055 is a 16-channel isolated digital I/O module designed for industrial automation and remote monitoring applications. It offers eight digital input channels and eight digital output channels, each electrically isolated to prevent ground loops and protect against voltage spikes. The digital inputs support both dry and wet contact signals, accepting voltage levels from 10 to 50 VDC. The digital outputs are open collector type, capable of sinking up to 200 mA per channel at voltages up to 40 VDC. With 2,500 VDC optical isolation, the ADAM-4055 ensures reliable operation in harsh industrial environments. Communication is facilitated via an RS-485 interface, supporting both Modbus RTU and ASCII protocols, allowing for seamless integration into existing systems. Additional features include LED indicators for easy status monitoring, a watchdog timer for system reliability, and a wide operating temperature range from -10°C to 70°C. The module operates on an unregulated 10 to 30 VDC power supply and is housed in a compact, DIN-rail mountable enclosure, making it a versatile solution for various industrial I/O applications.
